Questions to ask before choosing a provider

A short, printable list of questions to ask an online treatment provider — and a licensed clinician — before starting a GLP-1 or peptide program.

Before you commit to any online treatment program, it helps to have your questions written down. Here is a short list you can bring to both the provider and a licensed clinician.

Ask the provider

  • Is the medication you would prescribe FDA-approved or compounded?
  • If compounded, which licensed pharmacy prepares it, and why compounded rather than an approved product?
  • What is the total monthly cost, including medication and any fees, at the ongoing (not promotional) rate?
  • Are your clinicians licensed in my state?
  • Can I reach a clinician with side-effect questions after I start?
  • Can I cancel anytime, and what happens to any prepaid balance?

Ask a licensed clinician

  • Given my health history and other medications, is this treatment appropriate for me?
  • What are the most important risks and side effects for me specifically?
  • What monitoring (labs, blood pressure, etc.) would I need?
  • What should I expect if I stop the treatment?
  • Are there FDA-approved alternatives worth considering first?

A note on what we do and don't do
